So, who am I and why do I care?

I’m so glad you asked!

My name is Amber Jara and I have worked for the past 13 years as a pediatric speech-language pathologist and feeding therapist helping hundreds of families birth through pre-K.

I have also seen hundreds of families slip through the cracks in that time. Parents who need support but suffer from insurance denials, out-of-control deductibles, waiting lists, and pediatricians choosing the outdated suggestion of just “wait and see” instead of recommending speech.

During this time I had my own kids with genetic and neurological differences. This time as a frustrated mom, I walked the path of difficult (often straight-up impossible) to access community support for my own children. I also had a life-changing experience of seeing how difficult it was to use, in real life, the speech tools I was teaching parents at that time.

So here I am now, with a combination of evidence-based strategies and real-life solutions so YOU can easily work on speech every day at home! My mission is to make sure every family has access to affordable and quality speech support if they want it. You’re child deserves to have a voice, you deserve to know how to help them.

  • This is for any parent, caregiver, daycare provider, or preK teacher who wants to help a child gain and use more words.

    There are tools and materials to help kids with pre-verbal skills like pointing and imitation, to kids who have 60 words but need a little more help putting two words together and continuing to grow their vocabulary, as well all the kiddos in between.

  • Most lessons are ten minutes or less and available through transcript, audio, or captioned video (nursing mama I see you).

    Action items are applied to play and daily routines you’re already doing! The time spent learning and applying new skills is entirely up to you.

    Each family gets their own journey, so no need to worry about keeping up with a group or predetermined timeline.

  • This program, as long as you are enrolled, gets you access to every course I create, every speech bite workshop I host, and every resource I have for sale, at no additional cost to you. My goal is that you have everything you need to be successful!
