So, who am I and why do I care?

I’m so glad you asked!

My name is Amber Jara and I have worked for the past 15 years as a pediatric speech-language pathologist and feeding therapist helping hundreds of families birth through 6th grade.

I have also seen hundreds of families slip through the cracks in that time. Parents who need support but suffer from insurance denials, out-of-control deductibles, waiting lists, and pediatricians choosing the outdated suggestion of just “wait and see” instead of recommending speech therapy.

During these same years, I had my own children with genetic and neurological differences. As a frustrated mom, I walked the path of difficult (often straight-up impossible) to access community support for my own children. I also had a life-changing experience of seeing how difficult it was to use, in real life, the speech tools I had been teaching parents to use for years.

So here I am now, with a combination of evidence-based strategies and real-life solutions so YOU can easily work on speech every day at home!
